Bridger Walker

Bridger Walker is widely recognized for his heroic act in 2020 when, at six years old, he shielded his younger sister from a dog attack in Wyoming, risking his own life and sustaining serious injuries in the process. Since then, his family and supporters have used the widespread attention to promote humanitarian efforts and charitable giving, particularly benefiting children and veterans.​​

Despite the pain and trauma Bridger has experienced from the attack, surgery and rehab, Bridger chooses to be a very kind and thoughtful person, showcases a love for animals, and an ongoing caring spirit to others.

Bridger's family has consistently encouraged donations to charities in lieu of personal gifts or funds, suggesting organizations like Mission 22 and the Wounded Warrior Project that support veterans and their families.​

The family also published a children's book titled "You Can Be a Hero." In gratitude for the acts of kindness they received, they pledged to donate 10% of the book's net profits to charity.​
